Waitangi treaty

Hey guys its me and today I'm telling you a bit about Waitangi and the treaty that was signed so if your not familiar with this piece of history then you are learning something! In 1840 in the bay of islands both Maori and English were living in the same country but were fighting over land so on February 6th a treaty was signed by over 500 chiefs of Maori and the leaders of the British ever since then New Zealand has celebrated this event. So what are modern day treaties? Contracts? Agreements? Of course!  but instead of writing it and putting it in a museum we scan it and put it on a hard drive so I guess putting it in a museum would be the best place to put it because if someone steals it they can erase it where in a museum it cant be taken anyway the question for this post is... Why d we have treaties or contracts? thank you for reading this weeks post shout outs go to my awesom teachers! anyway I'll blog you later!
